After 1860 it obtained concessions in various fields, particularly in railroads, and started to exploit the country's natural resources. While doing this they cooperated with their political experts.
The Society helped transport cultural assets to Britain not only from Anatolia, but also from many places in the world, in particular from Egypt, Latin America, China, the Far East, and Africa.
Let go of these artefacts! Let the artefacts from Bergama be displayed not in Berlin, but in Bergama. Let the artefacts from Xanthos be displayed where they were found, and not in London. Let the artefacts from Magnesia be displayed in their own country instead of the Louvre Museum. Let the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus be displayed in Bodrum. The artefacts in those museums belong in their own land.
