Because there is no such thing as an "almost" mother. Seven bouquets from your seven angels. Happy Mother's Day, Princess.
My heart skipped as I read how the card was signed.

As I walked into the shop, I could smell them all—the adventures hidden behind the covers. The heartbreaking stories. The heart healing ones. The stories of love lost and found. The stories of self-discovery. The stories that made you feel less alone in a lonely world.
There was no better feeling than falling in love with people you'd never truly meet, yet still, they felt like family.
"Are you all right?"
I snickered. "Truth or lie?"
"Truth," he replied. "Always truth."
I took a deep breath, and tears fell as I exhaled. I couldn't even reply.
"I'm sorry you're hurting," he told me.
"It's fine."
"It's not."
He was right, it wasn't all right, and I wasn't certain that it would ever be all right.
“It was simple, the way we loved. We loved the scars of our past, and we loved the unknown of our future. We loved the mistakes. We loved the celebrations. We loved our darkness, and we loved the light.”
“What are you pretending to be?” I asked.
“Angry.”
“But what are you really?”
“Lost,” he truthfully confessed, and I felt his words deep in my soul.
“Me too,” I told him. “So much, me too.”
“Love was a messy emotion that didn’t walk a straight line. It worked in waves and loops of ups and downs. It was a screwy emotion that could somehow still exist amidst the ultimate heartbreak and betrayal.”
"Bunu yapmak zorunda değilsin."
"Neyi?"
"Hiçbir şey komik değilken gülmeyi."
"Evet, zorundayım çünkü aksi halde..."
"Çünkü aksi halde bana sinir olursun,"
"Niye?"
"Çünkü burası ağladığım kısım.'
"Evet,"
"Ve bu da sana izin verdiğim kısım."
Sonra ellerini ellerimin arasına koydu ve beni kanepeden kaldırıp kollarını etrafıma doladı. Bedenimi kendine iyice çekti ve ben dağilmaya başlayınca beni ayakta tutan da o oldu.
Dağılmama izin verdiği için ona teşekkür ettim.
