Unhappiness (Mutsuzluk)
Unhappiness is much less difficult to experience. Suffering threats us from three sides: from our own body, which being doomed to decay and dissolution, cannot dispense with pain and anxiety as warning signals; from the external world, which can unleash overwhelming, implacable, destructive forces against us; and finally from our relations with others. The suffering that arises from this last source perhaps causes us more pain than any other. Mutsuz olmak çok daha kolaydır. Acılarımızın üç temel kaynağı vardır: çürümeye ve zevk almaya mahkum, tehlikeli durumlarda acıdan ve endişeden bağımsız olamayan kendi vücutlarımız; bizi hedef alan boğucu, bitmeyen, yıkıcı güçleri barındıran dış dünya ve son olarak diğer insanlarla olan ilişkilerimiz.. İlişkiler bize olasılıkla en çok acı verendir.

The book is easy, fun, light, and enjoyable, focusing on pop science that captures the imagination. The pre-voyage material isn't as slow as many similar adventure books, but some readers object to the geological name-dropping and the fact that we're getting more or less the bric-a-brac of geology and not really an exploration of scientific modes of thought. Various peculiarities such as the anticlimactic final business about the compass qualify the success of the narrative ultimately, but heck, it's a new genre

Weber himself treated ‘authority’ and ‘bureaucracy’ as ideal types. The importance of recognizing particular concepts as ideal types is that it underlines the fact that concepts are only analytical tools. For this reason, it is better to think of concepts or ideal types not as being ‘true’ or ‘false’, but merely as more or less ‘useful’.

What Is Patriotism? by Emma Goldman 1908 San Francisco, California Men and Women: What is patriotism? Is it love of one's birthplace, the place of childhood's recollections and hopes, dreams and aspirations? Is it the place where, in childlike naivete, we would watch the passing clouds, and wonder why we, too, could not float so swiftly?
