I guess many didnt like the book at all and they think it was unnecessary but here we are reading a bunch of romance books not including anything major happening. I dont know what are your expectations from a romance book? Anyway, after reading Lilys toxic relationship with Ryle, reading a healthy relationship with Atlas felt good. This is life, people love and respect each other, nothing more nothing less. I love reading and watching calm plots, so the sequel is a favorite of mine. Also, one of the things that booktok have done right is to persuade the author to write a sequel, thank to them.
️The last but not the least the letters from Atlas are veeery very dear to me.

It was okay-ish to good. I've read for one of my classes. Here's more or less what I wrote in a paper:
James Baldwin’s 1955 collection of essays Notes of a Native Son is similar to the works of Sartre and de Beauvoir in the sense that he also compares Europe and America. However, Baldwin mostly focuses on the issues

It was okay in general but there were lots of unnecessary details in my opinion, especially Marianne Weber's loooongg descriptions of everything. Other than that, it was nice to learn more about Max Weber's visit to the US because it really affected his way of thinking. I was more or less familiar with Weber's ideas but the book provided me with more information about the visit (that's the purpose because Marianne Weber already published a book about Max's life). To sum up, it is a nice book to learn more details about the 1904 visit but I found most of the parts boring and irrelevant. I would not read it again

Yorumlara bakmamistim, yazara bir sans vermek istedim ve kitap hep internet sitelerinde karsima cikiyordu. Baktim cok uzun da bir kitap degil, ingilizce okuyayim dedim. Dili basit, konu ve olay orgusu akici..cok fazla kisa kisa bolumden olusuyor, o nedenle telefondan da okunabilir. Ingilizce de okunabilir, intermediate seviye gayet yeterli.

Bay Less elli yaşına girmek üzeredir. Bir yazardır ama dahi bir yazar değildir. Dehanın kapısına kadar gitmiş ama bir türlü içeri kabul edilmemiştir.

A poem about legacies and death
In the poem, the statue of Ozymandias, the king of kings, lies decaying in a distant desert. Only the pedestal, two upright legs and a face, remains of his statue; the rest is shattered and buried under lone and level sands. Netiher his mighty power as a king nor his statue, his legacy, could withstand the passage of merciless time.
This poem reminds me of the 76-77th stanzas of Hávámál, a collection of Old Norse poems about philosophy of life. However, these stanzas and Ozymandias are more like two sides of the same coin, they complete each other. They both give the message of "memento mori" (remember you are a mortal), and speak about leaving a legacy. Ozymandias does this by the statue of Ozymandias, the king of kings while 76-77th stanzas of Hávámál give this message through the experiences of common man; however, this time the speaker is Odin - the king of gods.
The message, along with memento mori, is that immortality is only achieved through a legacy: through the tales of the one who lived and died; through the reputation they leave behind. Man is the legacy he leaves behind. Nothing more, nothing less.
Although Hávámál presents legacies as more heroic, personally, I always thought about legacies similar to that of Ozymandias. Even the legacy, the statue, of King Ozymandias lies broken into pieces in a distant desert; forgotten and covered with sand. No matter how mighty and powerful you are, no matter what your title is, no matter how powerful your legacy is, time and death will erase everything.
In the end, good or bad, nothing matters. Everything is doomed to be swallowed by the sands of time.
