I'm not a non-fiction reader. sometimes i read books in this genre but mostly i'm boring on the progressing. this time i did not get bored on progressing while reading a non-fiction book. the book has small fictional stories in it. maybe that's one of the reasons why I'm not bored while reading it. outliers is an advised book to learners of advanced english. i saw this book on a recommendation list at internet and decided to read. that's one of the reasons i read this book. the reader can learn many new words in the english version of the book. i'd also recommend to those who want to learn advanced english. also, the small success stories are very interesting. some examples in these stories will provide comfort for those who can not succeed.
What reason could there be for this awful thing happening? My dad, whose fault this whole thing is, says, “You can’t always see God’s plan.” I want to tell him that maybe he shouldn’t leave everything up to God and that hoping against hope is not a life strategy, but that would mean I would have to talk to him, and I don’t want to talk to him.
People say these things to make sense of the world. Secretly, in their heart of hearts, almost everyone believes that there’s some meaning, some willfulness to life. Fairness. Basic decency. Good things happen to good people. Bad things only happen to bad people.
No one wants to believe that life is random. My dad says he doesn’t know where my cynicism comes from, but I’m not a cynic. I am a realist. It’s better to see life as it is, not as you wish it to be. Things don’t happen for a reason. They just happen.
Adam Levine - Lost Stars
Please don't see just a boy caught up in dreams and fantasies
Please see me reaching out for someone I can't see
Take my hand let's see where we wake up tomorrow
Best laid plans sometimes are just a one night stand
I'd be damned Cupid's demanding back his arrow
So let's get drunk on our tears and
God, tell us the reason
Resurrection by Tolstoy stands out to be one of the best classical piece of Literature even penned down by a mortal. And, even today, it amazes people world-wide, and compels people to bow their heads down in respect towards Tolstoy, an extraordinarily gifted literature of all times. The story revolves round Nekhlyudov, a wealthy aristocrat (like most Russian aristocrats, his wealth is inherited), in his quest to fix the evil he did to Katyusha (a young girl whom he seduced in the past, and who became a prostitute as a result of that), and understand all the rights and wrongs of life.
One day, she was presented before the judge for trial. She did not recognize the judge, but the judge instantly recognized her, and a deep remorse filled his heart. What is penned later is beyond description. The novel probes deeply into human psychology, and tries to establish a relation between the society and human character. It is simply superb - the way remorse is described, the way the fate of the lady is mentioned, and the life inside a jail. It goes into deep roots of crime in society.
All in all, this book is highly recommended. Maybe some time I'll read it again and then will post a fuller review. There's so much beautiful in it, it's really hard to describe - just read it.

Blindness is a great novel by Portuguese writer José Saramago that deals with human's individual and collective reactions when in the face of adversarial forces.
I finished this work of masterpiece and I let it to sink in a little bit before reviewing it. The power of this book was quite overwhelming and astounding at times and I had to stop
