"The Picture of Dorian Gray" from my point

The Picture Of Dorian Gray Example of an Victorian gothic horror...Greatest novel about decadence, sin and aestheticism....Also, such an inspring novel and full of literary creativity. It's been common to see haunted portraits in Gothic Literature as in The Oval Portrait (Edgar Allan Poe), The Judge's House (Bram Stoker), and Picture in the House (H.P. Lovecraft). I'm in love with the language and rhetoric of the author. Wilde achieved to show us how he created modern Faust with this one. As we can see, Dorian Gray's transformation from an innocent shy painter's fancy-sick lust to heartless villain is engraved on his soul without any blemish on his pure face. In the preface, Wilde states "there is no such thing as a moral or immoral book" which he quoted later as “The books that the world calls immoral are books that show the world its own shame.” There are 3 main characters in the book which I appreciate a lot, since more can be confusing for me. Wilde even affiliates himself with the characters by commenting “Basil Hallward is what I think I am: Lord Henry is what the world thinks of me: Dorian is what I would like to be—in other ages, perhaps.” after the publication. The masterpiece still remains like a monument to the power of vanity, the hope of love, and the tyrannic decay of the human soul. I can't wait to reading the novel again and watching film adaptations.

3/5 Stars (%65/100) Better than the previous one but still not great. Asa and Denji's interaction was good and I'm curious about their relationship. However, I'm kind of annoyed at Denji. After everything that's happened, he is still childish and thinks about girls. So, he might really be a devil more than a human (like Power who was childish and had silly goals). The whole thing with Yuko caught me off-guard. It was a good volume but I'm honestly reading it because I'm too invested.

4/5 Stars (%79/100) This was actually much better than I expected. The premise looked interesting (the main character being a lowly skeleton soldier) and I would say the execution is promising. There were times I got a bit bored or found things that felt out of place but as I continued reading, it became better. This is my review for the first season which ends with Chapter 66. I'm actually curious about the next season as it ended with a nice cliffhanger. The authors also mentioned that it will be 15+ so we'll probably see more "adult" stuff. Quick summary: A skeleton soldier dies and gets reincarnated into the past. He can somehow die and be reborn at certain points in time, like checkpoints (pretty similar to Subaru's power from Re:Zero). He wants to protect people he cares about and tries to get strong. So, there are lots of RPG elements and some cliche leveling up. Overall, it is a good series.

4/5 Stars (%80/100) It was quite good in general. The first half of the book is dedicated mostly to Deku and the relationship between him and his classmates in 1-A. It was nice to see everyone grown up (not only in terms of power), especially Bakugou. Though the series is about how Deku became the greatest hero, it seems it is also about how the others became great heroes as well. The other half of the book focuses on planning and getting ready to face Tomura. The ending was nice as we got to see America's number 1 hero, someone All Might knows. Therefore, I liked this volume overall though there were some parts that could have been better. I feel like we are coming to an end and I'm waiting for a time skip.
