3/5 Stars (%61/100) Despite my doubts and prejudice, I quite enjoyed 2001: A Space Odyssey (both the film and the book). However, that is not the reason why I decided to read this book. No, I've read the book for research purposes for my master's thesis because of a particular entry by Clarke. He tells us that Kubrick introduced Joseph Campbell and his monomyth theory to him and that he found it "very stimulating" (28). Yet, I still finished the book and liked it overall. Learning more about the creation of 2001 and the relationship between Kubrick and Clarke was interesting. If you are a fan of the film, the book, the writer or the director (or all of the above), you should definitely give this a go.

Perhaps a good place to start in this review of "All Life Is Problem Solving" is to focus on one essay, "Towards an Evolutionary Theory of Knowledge" written in 1989. Karl Popper (1902-1994) elegantly proposes that knowledge is linked to expectations. These expectations express theories of reality. Thus knowledge expresses

A book whose tv adaptation is poor, unfortunately. Whilst you read, you can sense the desperation of the people facing this unknown threat. Recommended.

3/5 Stars (%62/100) Compared to Prescott's other book on Neil Gaiman, I found this one both less useful and fun to read. The book contains several essays that analyze Gaiman's works (mainly graphic novels) under the light of feminist theory. The essays are somewhat useful for my thesis but that is another case. I found myself getting bored from time to time, especially compared to the other book I've mentioned. This book was published first so I can see how Prescott improved as an editor. Overall, it is a good source especially if you are into feminist theory along with fantasy.

5/5 Stars (%90/100) An another great series I found by chance. This one is more underrated compared to the ones I've reviewed so far. It is also an ongoing series and for now, it has only 91 chapters. However, with 91 chapters, Season 1 has ended. So, the series will come back in a few months (that's what the creators say at least). I quite enjoyed the 1st season overall. The characters are interesting, especially the main character, the world itself is amazing and it focuses a lot on magic, the story is interesting enough to make you read, the art style and fight scenes are brilliant as well. The only problem I have is related to pacing. Sometimes our main character suddenly gets strong in a very short amount of time with no proper explanation and sometimes it takes too long. However, towards the end, all of the small problems are being resolved. I'm sure Season 2 will be even better. I highly recommend it. So, what is it about? The title is quite self-explanatory. The Great Mage Lucas Trauman (Trowman) is a genius and extremely powerful mage. However, he is defeated by cosmic beings called Demigods. He spends 4000 years in prison but is suddenly reincarnated (or incarnation/possession) into the body of a boy named Frey Blake. Frey is extremely weak and constantly bullied by other people. Lucas tries to learn more about this new world and also regain his powers so that he can get revenge and defeat the Demigods. That is pretty much it. As I said, the characters are really well-written and I've always liked great mages and magic themed worlds.

Sobering and instructive
What is imperial control and hegemony? How humanity can survive, struggle or fight back against to imperialism? Why America posing like they’re protecting the world but from what? What’s democracy for US and others? Can we take the control? Did humanity give up? And so many more questions are answered. World’s most influence intelectual Noam Chomsky drawing historical examples from 1945 through to 2003, Chomsky looks at the US government's support for regimes responsible for mass human rights abuses —including ethnic cleansing and genocide—namely El Salvador, Colombia, Turkey, Israel, Egypt, South Africa, and Indonesia. He also discusses US support for militant dissident groups widely considered "terrorists", particularly in Nicaragua and Cuba, as well as direct military interventions, such as the Vietnam War, NATO bombing of Yugoslavia, Afghan War and Iraq War, to further its power and grasp of resources. Chávez praised the work as an "excellent book to help us understand what has been happening in the world throughout the 20th century". He urged everyone present to read it, including the U.S. This book shows you too much.. political, historical, instructive and impressive.

Sexing the Cherry Postmodernism has become an important part of our life and culture in many ways. Although it is a very common word in today's world, it cannot be expressed as a complete definition. Postmodernism is known for its rebellious approach and willingness to test boundaries. It is an indisputable fact that the word ‘master narrative’

5/5 Stars (%92/100) This issue focuses mostly on Ozymandias. Ozymandias explains his master plan of saving both worlds by manipulating pretty much everyone. Once again, you realize why he calls himself "the smartest man of the world." Also, it is finally time. Doomsday clock stops ticking.
