Instead of feeling our fears, we experience them as drama. We become political to compensate for the panic our inner child feels. Our energy is directed outward, so we meet the child's needs no matter what we do. To do this, we develop a strategy of manipulation, control, pressure or whatever works. We have been developing and perfecting these strategies since childhood.
Doğuştan gelen çocuksu masumiyet, güven ve spontanlığımızın üzeri yaşadığımız travmalarla örtüldü.
Our innate childlike innocence, trust and spontaneity were covered by the traumas we experienced.
Osho, The New Dawn
"You are always looking for something, something you know, but have forgotten. A faded memory, a lost memory and the emptiness created by it is not just an emptiness, it is a wound and it hurts. Because you brought something with you into the world and you lost it somewhere. And it seems impossible to find it again in this crowded universe. But if you don't find it, you will have spent your life in vain; a pain, a meaningless desire, a thirst that you know you cannot quench. This is the greatest crime that society commits against every child. No other offence is greater. To destroy a child's trust is to ruin his whole life, because trust is so precious that the moment you lose it, you break all connection with your own being. Trust is the bridge between you and existence. Trust is the purest form of love."
We want to open up, but we don't want to get hurt. Unfortunately, life does not offer such guarantees. On the contrary, if we open up, we are likely to feel abandoned, betrayed, somehow deprived. No matter how loving and understanding the other person may be, they cannot fill the emptiness inside us. We repeatedly create experiences in life and in love that open this wound, because we have to experience the pain - deeply and to the end. This seems to be the gateway to our depth and our deep acceptance of our loneliness. At the same time, the thought of entering into this pain is extremely frightening.
We may be very disciplined, but discipline often masks a deep-seated emptiness and insecurity.
