I had already read The Adventures of Tom Sawyer before, and Huckleberry Finn was one of the characters in that book. Because of that, I became curious about him and wanted to read Adventures of Huckleberry Finn as well. After I started reading, I realized that I really enjoyed the humorous style of the book. The language and the dialogues made the story more interesting and enjoyable for me. Adventures of Huckleberry Finn was published in 1884 and is considered one of the major works of American Realism. Unlike Romantic literature, Twain focuses on ordinary people, realistic language, and social problems. Through Huck’s journey, the novel reflects important issues of 19th-century American society such as racism, slavery, violence, religious hypocrisy, and social inequality. Twain also satirizes romantic adventure stories, especially through the character of Tom Sawyer. The novel follows Huck Finn, a young boy who escapes from his abusive father and travels along the Mississippi River with Jim, an escaped enslaved man. During their journey, they meet many different people and experience both humorous and serious situations. Through these adventures, Huck begins to question society’s values, racism, religion, and morality. Huck also starts to test the religious teachings of Miss Watson and Widow Douglas. He does not fully accept everything that society and religion teach him, and throughout the novel he tries to understand what is morally right by himself. Mark Twain mainly criticizes romanticism and unrealistic adventure stories. Tom tries to behave like the characters in books, while Huck thinks more realistically and questions these ideas. Through this contrast, Twain makes fun of romantic ideals that are disconnected from real life. Whether everything we learn

Eserleri sırasıyla, "Everyone Loves a Good Train Wreck: Why We Can't Look Away (2012)", "How to Be Weird: An Off-Kilter Guide to Living a One-of-a-Kind Life (2022)", "Keep It Fake: Inventing an Authentic Life (2015)" ve "The Mercy of Eternity: A Memoir of Depression and Grace (2010)"dir. Ayrıca Wilson, film teorisi, psikoloji, edebiyat ve popüler kültür üzerine kitaplar ve makaleler de yayınlamış. Örneğin "Secret Cinema" ve "The Strange World of David Lynch" gibi çalışmalarla sinema ve teoriyi harmanlamaktadır.

I devoured this book in 9 hours. It was a fine read. While reading, I was sometimes overwhelmed with emotion. And sometimes I clenched my teeth with disgust. Raven and Ares were supposed to have an arranged marriage because of the family but somehow Ares ended up engaging with Raven's sister, Hannah. Throughout their engagement, Raven never attached importance to Hannah. OMG! I HATE HANNAH AND HER MOTHER. I've never seen such arrogant and selfish characters like them. One was no better than the other. Raven was a kind and loving character. She always shone. She's been loving Ares since she first met him. Whenever she had the chance to explain her feelings to him, Hannah was there to ruin it. Such a brat. Finally, Raven had her moment. She tried to win him over patiently. Their growing tension was perfect. I love slow-burn romance like this one. The spice was good, however, I need to say that I didn't quite feel them. The plot was good, like a marriage of convenience, slow burn, fake bride, family pressure... BUT I'M NOT OKAY WITH THAT GRANDMA. At first, I loved her. She was a cute elderly person. Later in the book, she did something horrible to Raven. I don't spoil it. However, I don't approve of her behavior. She shouldn't have said or done that things. And I know that she is the core of the family, so I'll read so much about her actions throughout the series. Regardless of that, I FUCKING DONT WANT TO READ ANYTHING ABOUT HER.

the book tells the story of darren, an ordinary boy whose life takes a completely different turn after he secretly visits a freak show with his friends and makes a deal with a vampire. the story is both dark and intriguing. it features strange creatures, mysterious characters, and a very strong atmosphere, but the language is very simple and easy to read. one of the things i loved most is that the characters actually behave like children. there’s no fake heroism—darren makes mistakes, gets scared, feels regret, and that makes him feel very real. especially towards the end, the events are quite intense; even though it’s a children’s book, it has a strong emotional side. also, this is just the first book, and the series is quite long, but even the first book alone makes for a great introduction. it’s easy to read, but definitely not shallow. if you're looking for something gothic and gripping, i think you'll like it. give it a try. This was a very beautiful love story. If you like K-dramas, it is for you. At some point you see it is unrealistic, maybe it is not. But most people will think it is unrealistic. But i liked it very much since it includes university, phd students, some personal traumas, and a good perspective on woman's eyes. In the story there is a female phd student, who accidently kisses a proffessor. And she is asking him to be her date. That's because she needed to lie her best friend about she had a date that night. To cover up, she asks him to be her boyfriend for a night, but they end up being in a fake relationship. The most powerful part of the story was the female lead is being abused or there will be a situation to lead abuse, and how she goes through kind of situation. I guess not only in academia but in so many places those kind of things are happening to women everyday. I guess sometimes even to men. Because people are evil, no matter how good we are. Only way to fight with it is holding on to the good people. I guess this story emphasises this truth once more.
