Why the book is best-seller? Let me check :)
Benim

The book consists of 13 stories in total. I have commented on all the stories below. 1) MS. Found in a Bottle: "MS. Found in a Bottle" by Edgar Allan Poe is a classic example of his mastery in the Gothic and macabre. The story is presented as a narrative from an unnamed protagonist who, along with others, finds himself aboard a

Uzak Tepeler by Kazuo Ishiguro
7,8/10 It's a bit slow-paced and seems pretty normal. The ending is shocking though. The story is told by a woman named Etsuko. It has two timelines. One of them is present -what she is living right now- and the other one is in the past -when she used to live with a neighbor named Sachiko. Sachiko had a daughter -Mariko- and she (Sachiko) was depicted as a very irresponsible mother. This time was a bit later than bombing of Nagasaki. Maybe in 1954. So, I do not really question the people's psychology but still she was not really successful in raising a child. So, you read back and forth -present and past- about Sachiko and Mariko and sometimes about some eerie stuff. Ah I forgot to say that Etsuko has 2 daughters but one of them -Keiko- committed suicide. !Spoiler below! Keiko committed suicide. And this is actually what shocks you in the end. She -Etsuko- starts to say that "memory can be false sometimes" Pronouns start to change. You realize that her memories of Sachiko is actually her coping mechanism and she alienated her past self. It was a pretty good ending to me, goosebumps!

4/5 Stars (%76/100) I think this is a must-have for hardcore Tolkien fans. If you are not a huge Tolkien fan, you probably don't need this book. The book's format is almost like a PhD dissertation. It consists of three main parts which can be called essays. There are a lot of notes, footnotes, extra information etc. Some of the notes are not complete because of Tolkien's writing and most of the book seems to be collected to create one huge note. This is why some of the parts are not really connected to each other. However, all of this does not mean that it is a bad or disorganized book. There are A LOT of useful information in my opinion, especially in the first part where we learn about how time and ageing work in Tolkien's universe. I did not expect it to be so mathematical with all these formulas. In short, if you are a die-hard Tolkien fan, you should definitely get this and read it at least once. Otherwise, for others it might not be too appealing or fun.

4/5 Stars (%73/100) Overall, it was good but for reasons unknown, I did not enjoy this as much as I did with the previous volumes. There are a bunch of new characters some of them being Asaemon executioners. Our "heroes" have formed an alliance so that they can fight Tensen(s). The whole training + infiltration scenes were good. Learning more about Tao and Tensen is also a plus, especially because of whole mythological/religious references. Tao seems interesting mainly because it is very similar to Nen from Hunter x Hunter. There aren't a lot of volumes in this series so I'm curious how it's going to end.

4/5 Stars (%78/100) This was better than volume 5 in my opinion. It was revealed in the previous volume that Gabimaru somehow lost his memories. Therefore, this volume focuses on Gabimaru and the people around him. The fights were good again. I'm super curious about Aza Chobei's future as he seems very interesting (of course other than Gabimaru). We also learn more about the island and its inhabitants. In addition, there are some new characters who are sent as reinforcement. The author is not shy about killing important people so right now I don't know who will survive.

A Deconstruction of Existential Crisis
“Nausea” written by Jean-Paul Sartre is a work that delves deep into human psychology. It also discovers the nature of existence and the meaning of life. The novel was published in 1938 and became a seminal work for existentialist literature. Today, the book continues to captivate readers with its haunting atmosphere and philosophical prose. In my

Maybe hopelessness is freedom.
Seems absurd that Estragon and Vladimir forget that it's not the first day they've been waiting for godot, they don't even remember the messenger already told them "tomorrow without a doubt", they don't seemingly realise they're living in a cycle but they continue to wait something that's not coming, hoping it will. Maybe they want to forget that this routine already happened because if they didn't forget they would remain hopeless. Is it so bad to be hopeless? Or is hope that makes us suffer? Waiting and waiting until your strengths break. Maybe hopelessness is freedom.

4/5 Stars (%74/100) Much better than the previous volume. I still have doubts about the series's future but it seems to get slightly better. The relationship between Asa and Denji is weird but sweet in my opinion. We'll see how it will develop but for now, both sides have no idea about each other's true identity. The new character Fami also seems interesting. I especially liked that penguin scene as well as the one with Nayuta towards the end. The book once again ends with a huge twist which I'm curious about.

4/5 Stars (%72/100) Overall, I liked it. The ending of the previous volume was good because Tesla literally said that inside his prison, he is the god, not Beelzebub. The fight itself continues to be interesting and I like how science is used in a fantasy setting. Tesla's past was tragic and inspiring and I am not sure how much of it is true. We also learn more about Beelzebub and his confrontation with Hades. I'm still not sure which character I like more but I'm leaning more toward Tesla who seems to be more interesting overall.

3/5 Stars (%62/100) Part 2 of Chainsaw Man is called the Academy Saga which follows the life of Denji as a student and everyone's hero Chainsaw Man. This volume is more like an introduction to the new arc. Asa Mitaka and the War Devil are introduced. Asa seems like an interesting character but it's too early to decide. We don't see Denji much in this volume and instead focus on Asa's life. As a character, I don't find Denji very interesting but he is kind of "real" in the sense that if you are a famous hero, you would also get cocky and do some stupid stuff. We'll see what happens next.
