'Bir Kahve Bir Kitap' serisinin bu haftaki konuğu Jean Paul Sartre'ın Varoluşçuluk akımını tanıtıp savunduğu bu yapıtı. Sartre der ki; "İnsan kendini ne yaparsa odur." Kendi hikayemizin tek yazarı olduğumuzu hatırlatan, pasiflikten aktif bir yaratıma davet eden bu eser, her okurda farklı karşılıklar bulan bir felsefenin temel metnini (Varoluşçuluk Bir İnsancılıktır / Sartre) ve bunun yanı sıra Gaéton Picon ve Laffont Bompiani’ nin Varoluşçuluk’a ilişkin incelemeleriyle P. Naville’in Sartre’la yaptığı konuşmayı içeriyor. Kendi değerlerimizi yaratma sorumluluğunun ağırlığı ve o meşhur "özgürlüğe mahkumiyet" hissi... Kendi anlamını kendi inşa etmek isteyen her özgür ruhun yolunun kesişmesi gereken bir metin.

The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway tells a story that feels simple at first, almost like something you could explain in a few sentences. An old fisherman goes out to sea, catches a great fish, and loses it on the way back. But as the story unfolds, it becomes clear that this is not really a story about fishing at all. It is about endurance, dignity, and what it means to struggle in a world that does not always reward effort. The novella centers on Santiago, an old Cuban fisherman who has gone eighty-four days without catching a fish. In his village, he is seen as unlucky, even defeated. Only a young boy, Manolin, continues to believe in him, although he is no longer allowed to fish with Santiago. This quiet isolation shapes the emotional atmosphere of the story. Santiago is not just physically alone at sea; he is also set apart from the people around him, living on the edge of relevance. When he finally sets out far into the Gulf Stream, determined to break his unlucky streak, he hooks a giant marlin. What follows is a long, exhausting struggle that lasts for days. The fish pulls his small boat deep into the open sea, and Santiago, despite his age and pain, refuses to give up. What is striking here is not just the physical challenge, but the way Santiago thinks about the fish. He does not hate it. He respects it, admires it, even feels a kind of kinship with it. At times, he speaks to it as if it were an equal. This changes the nature of the conflict. It is not a simple battle between man and nature, but something more complex, almost like a test of worth between two noble beings. When Santiago finally kills the marlin, it feels like a moment of triumph, but that triumph does not last. Sharks are drawn to the blood of the fish and begin to attack it.

Fistly,I want to express some doubts about the reliability of the narrator, Nick Carraway, who tells the life of the main character, Jay Gatsby, from his own perspective because Nick sometimes praises Gatsby and sometimes expresses critical thoughts about him. This situation shows that the narrator is not completely objective and tells the story according to his own feelings. Secondly, we see the American Dream theme from the beginning to the end of the story. The American Dream is the belief that no matter which social class people come from, they can become rich and successful through hard work. This thought is Jay Gatsby’s main motivation. His obsessive love for Daisy Buchanan and his hope that she will return to him one day lead him to work harder and do everything he can to become rich. The novel conveys this hope through the symbol of the green light. The green light comes from Daisy’s house, and when Gatsby looks at it, he sees his dreams and hopes. So the green light shows Gatsby’s dreams and the future he wants, and it also shows how unreachable the American Dream can be. In addition, Jay Gatsby organizes big and flashy parties to prove his wealth and to show it to Daisy Buchanan. However, this situation did not affect either Daisy or the other people. Because society was divided into two parts: “new money” (people who became rich later) and “old money” (people who inherited their wealth). Although Gatsby became rich through his own efforts, he was not appreciated and was even despised by society. Therefore, Daisy did not choose to be with him. This situation shows that for Daisy, social status and wealth were more important than love. Finally, Jay Gatsby was left alone at the end of his life despite his struggles. Nearly nobody came to his funeral. This

This book is going to remind you one of Kafka's books, "The Metamorphosis". This time, a cockroach wakes up and finds itself in the body of the British Prime Minister. The book is a sharp and funny critique of politics, following the cockroach's efforts to pass a strange economic policy called "Reversalism." I absolutely loved this book! The sarcasm is wonderful and kept me engaged and finish it in a really short time. This was the first book I read by Ian McEwan, and I discovered him through a friend's recommendation. Since he is an author from the country where I live, it felt even more relevant and interesting. The writing is smooth and perfect for anyone who enjoys smart sarcasm.

Marlow and Dylan... I'm hooked from the get go I love this author's writing style. Perfect combination of soft romance and perfect spice... I'll definitely read all of her books from now on starting with completing this series. Marlow is an artist who just moved in next door of Dylan and has a dog named Waffles. Dylan is a single dad who is handsome and billionaire. His daughter Lola aka Ladybug is adorable Dylan has been in love with her from the beginning. However, he holds himself because of the age gap (he is 33 and she is 23) and also Lola is his only priority. Slow burn and the tension of this romance got me from the start and I couldn't stop myself reading it in 9 hours. Everything is perfect. Dylan likes ordering and him saying GOOD GIRL in the bedroom... OMG! The scene in Marlow's art studio I want more about those kind of scenes. Pretty please Him saying SUNSHINE to her and also cooking for her and leaving notes showing how much he cares for her and planting flowers in his garden for her and.... This list goes on like this. Actually, I want a Dylan in my life, too. Marlow is a lucky bitch. I envy her Also, Dylan's mom, Johanna is best at playing matchmaker I really appreciate of her effort in both If you give a Grump Holiday Wishlist and If you give a single dad nanny. I'm curious about what she'll do for her grumpy son, Harrison On the other hand, The grandma in the Windsors series by Catharine Maura is the worst. I hope she dies, BTW.

Fromm insanı bir mexanizm kimi yox, insan kimi ələ alıb analiz edən, araşdıran psixoanalitik və yazıçıdır. Həcmi kiçik olmasına baxmayaraq, məşhur kitabını iki həftəyə yayıb oxudum. Kitabla bağlı çoxlu qeydlər götürmüşəm, onlardan bəziləri (p.s. türk dilində oxumuşam deyə tərcüməsini yazacam): "Birini sevmək sadəcə güclü bir duyğu deyil; bir düşüncə, bir mühakimə, verilmiş bir sözdür. Əgər sevgi sadəcə bir duyğu olsaydı, qarşılıqlı verilən əbədi sevmək sözlərinin heç bir əsası qalmazdı." (səh. 76) Bu alıntı reallıqdır – heç bir bəzək-düzək olmadan yaş əski kimi çırpılır üzümüzə. Bəzən qarşına verdiyi sözü tuta bilməyən biri çıxır və ya əksinə, sən o sözü tuta bilmirsən. Duyğularını fikirləş: nə qədər əsəbi qala bilirsən? Bəs sevinc daimidir? (səh. 78) Bunu oxuyanda həm təəccüb elədim, həm də düşündürdü. Necə yəni, eqoist dediyimiz adam özünü sevmir? Sözə bir baxın, eqoist, içində eqo – yəni "mən" sözü var. Məsələn, sosial medianın, bloggerlərin, psixoloqların və s. hamıya aşıladığı bir düşüncə var, hamısı bu cümləni bayraq eliyib: "Özünü sev." Mən elə bu "sev" hissəsinin problemli olduğunu düşünürəm. Fromm'un da qeyd etdiyi kimi, sevmək digər sənət sahələri kimi öyrənilməli bir bacarıqdır, sən sadəcə "özümə baxıram, fitness zaldan çıxmıram, özümə bahalı paltarlar alıram, self-care day xoxo" deyərək özünü sevmiş olmursan.
