You can say to me, who?
Who is the third who walks always beside you? When I count, there are only you and I together But when I look ahead up the white road There is always another one walking beside you Gliding wrapt in a brown mantle, hooded I do not know whether a man or a woman -But who is that on the other side of you?

Long ago there lived a Man who was crucified for being too loving and too lovable. And strange to relate I met him thrice yesterday. The first time He was asking a policeman not to take a prostitute to prison; the second time He was drinking wine with an outcast; and the third time He was having a fist-fight with a promoter inside a church.

In the book, we see the world of adults through the eyes of 12-year-old Edgar. A man named Baron forms a friendship with Edgar to get closer to Edgar's mother, and events follow. After "Twenty-Four Hours in the Life of a Woman" and "Fear", this was the third book of Zweig I have read. Zweig is a writer who has a great narrative of passions and uses descriptive method very well. However, I see women who are cheating / deceived in all three of his books. I will read his other books, but I cannot understand why he always deals with the infidelity of women (for these three books) in his books. "If a person lies to someone, he will tell another." Aristotle says that in order to live alone, a man must be either an animal or a god. The third alternative is lacking: a man must be both- a philosopher.
The savior Attis was born of the virgin Nana, evidently on December 25, and died on a tree at the spring equinox, on Black Friday, or the Day of Blood. His death was celebrated with ritual wailings and lamentations. On the third day he rose again from the dead, to great rejoicing on the Festival of Joy (Hilaria). He was hailed as the Most High God, “who holds the universe together.” The people were told, “The god is saved; and for you also will come salvation.” His worshippers ate his sacred body in the form of bread. The temple dedicated to him and the Mother Goddess Cybele stood on Vatican Hill in Rome for six centuries, up to the fourth century ad/ce.

I found that for people of my circle there were four ways out of the terrible position in which we are all placed. The first was that of ignorance. It consists in not knowing, not understanding, that life is an evil and an absurdity. People of this sort ... have not yet understood that question of life.... They see neither the dragon that awaits
