"Is that what God does? He helps? Tell me, why didn't God help my innocent friend who died for no reason while the guilty ran free? Okay. Fine. Forget the one offs. How about the countless wars declared in his name? Okay. Fine. Let's skip the random, meaningless murder for a second, shall we? How about the racist, sexist, phobia soup we've all been drowning in because of him? And I'm not just talking about Jesus. I'm talking about all organized religion. Exclusive groups created to manage control. A dealer getting people hooked on the drug of hope. His followers, nothing but addicts who want their hit of bullshit to keep their dopamine of ignorance. Addicts. Afraid to believe the truth. That there's no order. There's no power. That all religions are just metastasizing mind worms, meant to divide us so it's easier to rule us by the charlatans that wanna run us. All we are to them are paying fanboys of their poorly-written sci-fi franchise. If I don't listen to my imaginary friend, why the fuck should I listen to yours? People think their worship's some key to happiness. That's just how he owns you. Even I'm not crazy enough to believe that distortion of reality. So fuck God. He's not a good enough scapegoat for me." Elliot Anderson
John Donne-Death Be Not Proud (Tercüme)

There are two main scientific arguments today against the existence of free will. One comes from neurosci-ence. Its basic claim is that all our decisions

On Globalization What a beautiful trend is globalization If it means progress for every nation If it entails discarding inequity And enhancing a balance of quality But, unfortunately, there’s ugly egotism Fuelled and nurtured by ethnocentrism Where human beings forget their main call And instead want to rise where others fall On one hand affluence – inexcusable greed On the other starvation – devastating need Rich says to poor: “Open up! Let me in!” And by doing that, guess who’s the only one to win? Very few wonder how this imbalance started Very few think back on how wealth once was parted No need to look back – the future’s at stake Globalization can become anything we make: An even wider gap through borderless rape Or a beautiful village in honourable shape A rat’s nest of division and infinite hate Or a unified world before it’s too late…
Omer B. Washington-I have learned…
I’ve learned, that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them. I’ve learned, that no matter how much I care, some people just don’t care back. I’ve learned, that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it. I’ve learned, that no matter how good a friend is, they’re

“Ah, come on. You can spill all your secrets to me, Scarlet. I’m good at pretending to listen.” “I’m sure you are, but I learned long ago not to bare my soul to just anyone. It seems to make people think they’re entitled to every part of me, like I owe them everything and can keep nothing for myself.”

“I see sunrise every day, too.” I look at him with surprise. “You do?” He nods. “Except when I see it, you know, all I think is ‘here comes another day of bullshit surrounded by all these idiots.’ Doesn’t really leave me feeling hopeful.”
“Pay attention. Did you hear me? You’re in charge of the wedding.” “Yes, I heard you. You’re coming home while I arrange it, right? I need time.” “No, we’re not coming home. I expect you do it quickly.” How long did it take to arrange a simple ceremony? “I can’t do it quickly. If you want to give Tess the dream, I need at least a month.” “No, fucking way. You have five days, Suzette. You have five days to arrange a suitable wedding. Invite who you think should be there. You’re in charge.” A surprised squeak hurt my ear. “Five days? No, there’s no way—” “No arguing. Do it.”

Jealousy took three long seconds to hit. But when it did- fuck it cripple me. Green. Hot. Liquid jealousy. Fuck, he was touching her. Double fuck he was touching her naked! I stalked forward, clenching my fists. "Franco..." my voice wobbled with pent-up, spewing aggresion. "Get your motherfucking hands off her." I'II rip out your jugular. "If I let her go, she'll run. Before you kill me, give me your shirt." His eyes dropped to my chest. All I wanted was blood. Rivers of it. His. Hers. I Didn't really fucking care. My gaze returned to Franco. Fuck me he'd held her. Naked! His body tensed, falling into a supple position, ready for a fight. "Mercer-- think about this." His eyes narrowed. Think about it? His hands on her naked skin. Her body pressed against him. Naked. "It's okay, Mercer. She's yours." Franco held up his hands. "Seriously. I get it."

As much as I like a good love story, I wouldn't call myself a romantic. Not by a long shot. In fact, I can be pretty cold-hearted when it comes to romance books, remaining emotionless in the face of tragic heartbreak and loss. BUT... It's impossible not to fall in love with the characters and story in this deeply emotional and insightful novel. Me
