Amin kelimesinin kökeninin Mısır pagan Tanrı’sı Amon ile benzediğini ve dolaysıyla Amon kelimesinin önce Amen olarak Yahudilere ve oradan Hristiyanlara oradan da Müslümanlara geçmiş olduğunu iddia ediyorlar.
Amen kelimesi hem Yahudilerin kutsal kitabı olan Tanah’ta hem de Hristiyanların kutsal kitabı İncil’de çokça geçer. Fakat Kuran’da geçmez.
