I really enjoyed reading this book. At first, I thought it might be difficult because it was written a long time ago, but the story became more interesting as I continued reading.
One of the things I liked most about the book was the adventure and action. The characters travel through dangerous forests, face many challenges, and have to make difficult decisions. This kept me interested and made me want to know what would happen next. But the most interesting thing was to think that all this cruelty and madness actually happened. It is blood-curling and saddening to think that the massacre scene at the battlefield or what that savage did to that baby by the rock really happened in real life.
I also liked how the friendship between the characters was shown throughout the story. The novel explores themes such as courage, loyalty, friendship, and survival. It gives readers a glimpse into a different period of history. It helped me imagine what life was like during the conflicts between different groups in North America. And I also wished I could have crazy natural survival skills, tracking skills and enhanced vision or hearing like the mohicans who dwell in the forests. Imagining living like them makes my sedentary city-dwelling life seem much more duller than normal.
İnsanı En İnsan Gibi Anlatan Kitap
Az önce bir filmin yazısını yazdım ve dedim ki “benim favori yazarım yok”. Tabii burası blog değil insanlar buraya kitapla ilgili yazı okumaya geliyor günlük gibi buraya yazmayacağım ama o yazıyı kapatıp buna geçince aslında favori yazarım olmaya en yakın kişinin kitabını inceleyeceğimi görüyorum. O yazıya sizi yönlendirmeden kısaca bahsetmem gerekirse zaten böyle ünlü kişilere bağlanma durumum yok benim. Bu hayatımın her alanında geçerli. Filmler oyunlar müzikler kitaplar asla favori bir üreticim yok. Hoş favori bir serim bile yok yani. Kitap serisi oyun serisi falan bunlar da yok. Belki Dark Souls ucundan. Bunun en önemli sebeplerinden birisi banger banger banger yapamamaları. Kimsenin. Bir yazarı ne kadar seversen sev kötü bir kitabı olabilir. Olabilir zaten ama sen de sevebilirsin diyebilirsin ama ben isterim ki madem sevip bağlanacağım bu adam süper bir şey olsun yani kalemini beğeneyim anladınız mı roman yazmayı bırakıp film incelemesi yazsa yine okuyayım öyle bir şey olsun. Yani anladınız mı biraz daha duygusal bir bağ gibi? Arkadaşım olması gibi. Parasosyal mi evet ama arkadaşım. Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach may appear to be a simple story about a bird, but it develops into a layered allegory about individuality, freedom, and spiritual growth. Jonathan, unlike the rest of his flock, is not satisfied with living only to eat and survive. He becomes obsessed with flight not as a tool, but as a way of reaching perfection and understanding something greater about existence itself.
This desire isolates him. The flock, representing conformity and societal limitation, rejects him for refusing to follow its narrow rules. His exile symbolizes the cost of individuality: those who question norms are often cast out. Yet this separation is also what allows Jonathan to grow. Freed from the expectations of others, he pushes himself further and eventually reaches a higher level of existence, where he learns that true perfection is not just physical but spiritual.
Flight becomes the central symbol of the story. It represents self-discovery, discipline, and transcendence. The sky stands for infinite possibility, suggesting that limits are not absolute but largely self-imposed. Jonathan’s journey reflects the pursuit of self-actualization, the idea that fulfillment comes from realizing one’s full potential.
At the same time, the story strongly echoes Biblical patterns, especially those associated with Jesus Christ. Jonathan is rejected by his community, ascends to a higher plane of understanding, and returns as a teacher. He gathers followers and teaches them that they, too, can overcome their limitations. Like Christ, he emphasizes growth, belief, and a deeper understanding of existence.

Gromov, by contrast, embodies a radically different philosophical stance, one that could be described as an existential sensitivity to injustice. He is deeply affected by the possibility of suffering, oppression, and arbitrariness in human life. His anxiety and paranoia are not presented merely as symptoms of illness but as exaggerated responses to real conditions of
Soyangri Book Kitchen belongs to that special category of literature that offers the reader nothing but a soft, cozy embrace. In a world obsessed with productivity, it is a gentle reminder that not every book needs to be a tool for gaining knowledge or a puzzle for solving complex problems.
Sometimes, a story is simply meant to be a sanctuary. Reading this felt like stepping into a "rest stop" for the soul. Like many of the other healing novels I’ve explored—such as The Hyunam-dong Bookstore or The Pottery Store—this book prioritizes atmosphere over action.
The "Book Kitchen" acts as a literal and metaphorical space where characters come to "feed" their tired spirits. It provides a slow, rhythmic pace that mirrors the quiet beauty of the countryside. Ultimately, it is a testament to the idea that reading can be a form of self-care, providing a warm, safe space to simply be without the pressure of a demanding plot.
