Currently being the only reader and the first reviewer of this book is thrilling! Alright, let's start. So, this book is literally a conspiracy theory itself. Silas Orven is a man, a supposed time-traveller, who appeared in a private Facebook group in about 2024-2025 if I remember correctly. In that group he claimed that he came from the future to try and edit the timeline because humanity in his era of the future is having massive problems. If you can "edit" the timeline, it creates a new variable. Our current actions, if they are different, can create a new result and new future timeline. At first, people mocked him, trolled him, dismissed him completely. But when he began accurately predicting specific events, people were stunned and began taking him far more seriously. Some even started idolizing him and treating him like some kind of divine figure, even though he repeatedly said he wasn’t a prophet or anything divine and that no one should worship him. The guy became a sensation, basically. So in 2025 he published this book and then completely disappeared. No one knows where he is. No one can identify him. His name doesn’t even show up in any global database. Some of his most devoted followers genuinely believe he went back to the future, where he came from. I read the book, and it’s incredibly well-written. Some parts are genuinely disturbing; his descriptions of the future and the era he comes from are pretty terrifying. It's pretty dystopian. It’s impressive how he explains how time travel supposedly works, and he even touches on several taboo topics like Hitler, aliens and their origins, why they abduct humans, as well as God, the Bible, the Qur’an, who built the pyramids and why, whether humans will achieve eternal life, what happens after death, and so

I read this book years ago and wanted to revisit it to refresh my knowledge. Honestly, it felt like reading a completely new book again, probably because I connected with the lessons differently this time. Such a simple and easy read, but full of meaningful wisdom. Definitely one of the best books I’ve read this year so far, and I’m adding it to my favorites. I’d love to read it again in the future. Highly recommend it.

As the fourth installment in Kawaguchi’s renowned series, Before We Say Goodbye offers a familiar yet profoundly moving structure. For those who have journeyed through the previous books, the narrative pattern remains consistent: a small, subterranean cafe in Tokyo, a set of unyielding rules, and a steaming cup of coffee that acts as a bridge between the present and the past. There is an undeniable aesthetic harmony in reading this book during rainy weather. The sound of the rain outside mirrors the quiet, introspective atmosphere of the Funiculi Funicula cafe. To truly appreciate this story, one needs nothing more than a quiet corner, a warm cup of coffee, and the luxury of time. At its core, the series continues to pose the same existential question: "If you could go back in time, knowing you cannot change the present, who would you choose to meet?" While some might see the repetition as a flaw, I see it as a meditative ritual. Ultimately, I would define this work as a poignant chronicle of grief. It explores the weight of things left unsaid and the quiet strength required to finally let go. It reminds us that while we cannot rewrite our history, we can always choose to change how we carry our memories into the future.

Daha önce Prisoners of Geography, The Power of Geography ve özellikle Worth Dying For: The Power and Politics of Flags kitabını okumuş ve çok beğenmiştim. Einstein’ın “Two things are infinite…” sözü burada boşuna değil.

Fistly,I want to express some doubts about the reliability of the narrator, Nick Carraway, who tells the life of the main character, Jay Gatsby, from his own perspective because Nick sometimes praises Gatsby and sometimes expresses critical thoughts about him. This situation shows that the narrator is not completely objective and tells the story according to his own feelings. Secondly, we see the American Dream theme from the beginning to the end of the story. The American Dream is the belief that no matter which social class people come from, they can become rich and successful through hard work. This thought is Jay Gatsby’s main motivation. His obsessive love for Daisy Buchanan and his hope that she will return to him one day lead him to work harder and do everything he can to become rich. The novel conveys this hope through the symbol of the green light. The green light comes from Daisy’s house, and when Gatsby looks at it, he sees his dreams and hopes. So the green light shows Gatsby’s dreams and the future he wants, and it also shows how unreachable the American Dream can be. In addition, Jay Gatsby organizes big and flashy parties to prove his wealth and to show it to Daisy Buchanan. However, this situation did not affect either Daisy or the other people. Because society was divided into two parts: “new money” (people who became rich later) and “old money” (people who inherited their wealth). Although Gatsby became rich through his own efforts, he was not appreciated and was even despised by society. Therefore, Daisy did not choose to be with him. This situation shows that for Daisy, social status and wealth were more important than love. Finally, Jay Gatsby was left alone at the end of his life despite his struggles. Nearly nobody came to his funeral. This
