When you feel constructively remorseful about violating or failing to live up to a moral code or ethical principle or hurting somebody close to you, this feeling is based on a more healthy, flexible set of attitudes: a philosophy of desire, an anti- awfulizing attitude, a philosophy of high frustration tolerance and a healthy philosophy of self-acceptance. These beliefs are healthy because they are logical, they are more consistent with reality and they help us to learn from our wrongdoings.
