First, as representatives of ways, Buddhism is a Way of salvation for man, Confucianism venerates a Way of culture, and medicine is a Way of curing various diseases. Moreover, poets teach the Way of Japanese verse; and then there are tea masters, archers, and others who teach the various arts. All of these practice according to their own thoughts and relish what they do according to their own hearts. It is a rare person who relishes the Way of the Martial Arts. What is most basic in the Way of practicing the martial arts is overcoming your opponent in a duel, or in being victorious in a fight with a number of men. There are many people who, even when studying the Way of the Martial arts, think that these skills will not be useful in real situations. In fact, the true Way of the Martial Arts is to train so that these skills are useful at any time, and to teach these skills so that they will be usefull in all things.

Mengzi thinks that most people will be unable to develop their nature without having their basic needs for things such as food met. Indeed, Mengzi provides specific advice about proper farm management, showing his concern with the practicalities of governing. Once their fundamental needs are met, basic—but universal— ethical education is crucial.
Mozi saw ideological differences and the factionalism they spawned as the primary source of human suffering. Therefore, he sharply criticized the family-based ethical and political system of Kongzi for its inherent partiality and advocated a strict chain of command leading up through a monarch and resting in Heaven. In place of Confucian ren , “benevolence,” he advocated a form of state consequentialism, which sought to maximize three basic goods: the wealth, order, and population of the state. As an alternative to Confucian familial love, he argued for jian’ai , which is often translated as “universal love” but is better understood as “impartial care.”
Charles Moore
One of the basic human requirements is the need to dwell, and one of the central human acts is the act of inhabiting, of connecting ourselves, however temporarily, with a place on the planet which belongs to us and to which we belong.

People do sometimes sense the sacredness of nature, such as when they look closely at a flower, climb high peaks, or journey deep into the mountain. Such aesthetic sense, love, receptivity, and understanding are people's most basic instincts — their true nature. These days, however, humans are flying in a completely different direction to some unknown destination, and they seem to be doing it as rapidly as possible.
"Eğer doğanın işleyişinin oldukça tesadüfi ve ayrıca tamamıyla gerekli gibi görünen yönleri varsa, bunlar özellikle Tanrı'ya inancı destekleyen kanıtlar olarak görülebilir." (Palle Yourgrau, A World Without Time: The Forgotten Legacy of Gödel and Einstein (New York: Basic Books,)
Religious beliefs are basic human social survival concepts with slight alterations.
The moral universalist believes that there are derivative norms that may differ across cultures, but at least some basic norms don’t.

Reductionism is the view that all higher-level phenomena are explained in terms of lower-level phenomena, some of which are basic.
Causation is likely to be more complex than such a basic definition would allow.
The Death of the Author by Roland Barthes
In a notorious essay of 1968, he even proclaimed the “death of the author”. He meant the traditional, heroic “Author” passing on his words of wisdom to a grateful, and essentially passive, public. This has been a contentious idea. Yet, in its most basic sense, it means no more than that narratives take on a life of their own after they leave the author and pass into general circulation.

Man does not be have as a child of nature but rather as a stranger in it. His basic feeling is fear but not the biological fear that animals feel. It is a spiritual, cosmic, and primeval fear bound to the secrets and riddles of human existence. Markin Heidegger called it the "eternal and timeless determinant of human existence." This is a fear mingled with curiosity, astonishment, admiration, disaffection - the feelings that perhaps lie at the basis of all our culture and art .
Islam is not only a religion or a way of life but primarily the principle of the organization of the universe. Islam existed before man and it is as the Quran explicitly states a principle by which man was created. Hence one finds an inherent harmony between the man and Islam or as the book calls it the "manlikeness" of Islam. In the same way as man is a unity of spirit and body, Islam is a unity of religion and social order and just as a body in prayer can follow the movement of the soul, the social order can serve the ideals of religion and ethics. This unity foreign both to Christianity and materialism is basic and the most Islamic characteristic of Islam.
