Charlotte Brontë is an English writer born in 1816. She is the eldest of the three( Charlotte Brontë, Emily Brontë, Anne Brontë), known for their works settled among the classics of English Literature. Her famous work" JANE EYRE" was published in 1847.
The novel which tells about a love between two people of different classes in Victorian England realistically reflects the religious oppression, class division and male superiority in society. Considered as one of the first novels to claim women's freedom and rights, the novel is one of the most important examples of the romanticism movement.
• Jane is a 10 year old orphan who lives with her uncle's family; her parents had died of typhus. The family ostracizes Jane. She is later sent to the austere Lowood Institution. In early adulthood, after several years as a student and then teacher at Lowood. She finds work as a governess at Thomfield Hall. Then she falls in love with Rochester. They decide to get married, but they get an obstacle and Jane goes through a very difficult period.
