Taking The “Home” To The Road
Undoubtedly, J.R.R. Tolkien bequeathed a masterpiece to the entire literary world; The Lord of the Rings trilogy. The Fellowship of the Ring is the first book of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, which begins in an inland area in the northwest of Middle Earth that has fallen into oblivion; The Shire. This is the home of the Hobbits who live in peace

Darwin wrote this book in 1872. It's interesting to compare what he wrote about then with what his successor theorists write about today. In contrast to today’s emphasis on universals (e.g., humans are this or not this or that), Darwin notes throughout this book that individuals have a wide variability in physical, emotional, and mental

“I’m going to keep going until I succeed — or die. Don’t think I don’t know how this might end. I’ve known it for years.” — Harry Potter Most seventeen-year olds don’t view the possibility of an early death as being, well, possible. But then again, most seventeen-year olds haven’t come face-to-face with death almost half a dozen times before

This was most excellent; I can 100% see why this is many readers favorite Stephen King novel. Heck, it's my favorite novel of his to date, although I have a good number of his books to catch up on. I've found myself overly critical of his work in the past, possibly due to the fact that he's so well known, but I feel it's more

This is a lovely collection of stories that served as an inspiration for the series Electric Dreams. Consisting of ten stories, this book is a great insight into Philip K. Dick's shorter prose works. Some of these stories fall more into macabre/horror genre (with a distinct Twilight Zone vibe) than into science fiction (as the title would

reading the blind owl from perspective of nietzsche
Sadeq Hedayat is one of my favorite author in the literary world. The Blind Owl that introduced me to Sadeq Hedayat many years ago and it has entered my list of the best. Hedayat's masterpiece The Blind Owl attracted me with the very first lines, and caused me to experience a kind of hysteria with the last page of the book. Coming

3/5 Stars (%60/100) Since the chapters are released every month or so, I kinda forgot that this series existed, hence my late review. Buuut Buddha's fight (the 6th round in Ragnarok) is FINALLY over. I mean I like Buddha's character but this fight was probably my least favorite. The previous volume ended with the introduction of Hajun who replaced Zerofuku. He is apparently an experiment by Beelzebub and super dangerous (according to Hades). The fight between these two was better than the one between Zero and Buddha. I don't have much to say. Overall it was a good-ish book but I'm more excited about the next fight.

Immediately after Tominaga throws Morio from the cliff, he is saved by a rope tied around his waist, which he created earlier during the struggle and fastened around the tree Mayu was hiding in. Held tightly in place, Tominaga taunts the creature. Suddenly, Morio uses the anchor on its back to hook onto a tree growing on the side of the cliff,

Seri yorumu ⚫️The first 2 books in this series were translated into Turkish; but unfortunately the last book and the novella weren’t. I was curios about meeting Q and Tess for a long time and I finally met this couple. It was mostly a difficult adventure to read their pain and suffering; especially when they’re tortured by their kidnappers. It is

5/5 Stars (%90/100) This has been on my "to-read" list for over 3 years now. I finally decided to stop being lazy and finish the book. It was really amazing and much better than I expected. The title is clear: the book showcases and explains pretty much every important place, event, journey etc. The maps are the most detailed ones I have seen so far. There are a lot of maps of Middle-Earth on the Internet but I have never seen so detailed and beautifully drawn maps before. The book is split into many chapters including the first three ages of Arda, The Hobbit and LoTR. From the map of Nirnaeth Arnoediad (The Fifth Great Battle against Melkor) to Bilbo and Frodo's journey in the 3rd Age, there are many more maps and pictures. I especially enjoyed the maps which show the journey of certain characters like Turin, Nienor, Beren and Luthien and so forth. The maps about the First Age (and before that) are also super interesting. I would recommend the book to every Tolkien geek. I will probably get a physical copy in the future and look at the maps from time to time.
