Askeladd'ın son sözleri
Askeladd: Hurry up and finish me off. I am sorry about the wait. My life is yours now. I have used it all up, anyway. Not that I regret any of it. We are enemies, are we not? Thorfinn: ...you are going to die...? Askeladd: Do it quick. There is no time Thorfinn: ...you think this is a joke...? This isn't how it's supposed to be!! Our fight wasn't supposed to end this way!! You can't do this to me!! You can't die!! Get up!! Stand up and fight me right now!! I am the one who's supposed to kill you, you son of a bitch!! Askeladd: Honestly this is what I hate about kids haven't you given a thought to what you are going to live for after I am dead Thorfinn? Ha ha you haven't, have you? You are hopeless, you know that? Thorfinn: Shut up none of your fucking business... Askeladd: Move on Thorfinn. Don't hang on... to this petty bullshit your entire life... You have got to move on go further... You are the son of Thors so venture beyond the world he saw. That's your true battle. Be a true warrior... son of Thors...
Most of us most of the time live with unquestioned belief that the world looks as does because that’s the way it is. There’s one small step from this belief to another: "other people view the world much the way I do". These beliefs which have been called Naïve Realism are essential to the sense of a reality we share with other people. We rarely question these beliefs. We hold a single interpretation of the world around us at any single time. And we normally invest very little effort in creating plausible alternatives to it. One interpretation is enough and we experiences as truth. We do not go through life imagining alternative ways to see what we see.

We live in this moment. Who you are now is more important than memories of your past. Be good to yourself.

"What is meditation? What is leaving one's body? What is fasting? What is holding one's breath? It is fleeing from the self, it is a short escape of the agony of being a self, it is a short numbing of the senses against the pain and the pointlessness of life. The same escape, the same short numbing is what the driver of an ox-cart finds in the inn, drinking a few bowls of rice-wine or fermented coconut-milk. Then he won't feel his self any more, ther he won't feel the pains of life any more, then he finds a short numbing of the senses. When he falls asleep over his bowl of rice-wine, he'll find the same what Siddhartha and Govinda find when they escape their bodies through long exercises, staying in the non-self. This is how it is.
“In one life we have known each other for years and are married . . .’ he said. ‘In most lives I don’t know you at all,’ she countered, now staring straight at him. ‘That’s so sad.’ ‘I don’t think so.’ ‘Really?’ ‘Really.’ She smiled. ‘We’re special, Nora. We’re chosen. No one understands us.’ ‘No one understands anyone. We’re not chosen.’ ‘The only reason I am still in this life is because of you . . .’ She lunged forward and kissed him.”
I hate this girl so much!
Something weird is happening to me. My chest is sore, and my eyes feel immense pressure, and they’re… wet. I think I might be crying for the first time in my life. She opens the door, but I rush in front of her, blocking her exit as I drop to my knees and grab her hands. “Olivia,” I whisper clearly. “Please don’t leave me. Please stay with me.” Her sadness is all over her face—she’s looking at me like I’m the one breaking her heart, her eyes following a tear as it slides down my cheek. “Please,” I beg. “Accept my v-version of love. Pl-ease. I love you, Ol-l-l—” Olivia doesn’t tell me she loves me back, or that she’ll stay. She just gives me a warm smile and pulls her hand away before squeezing past me.

Life is a big mind game. The only person you're playing against is yourself. Stick with this process and soon what you thought was impossible will be something you do every damn day of your life.
"Even in your folly and your contempt, you despisers of the body, you serve your self. I say to you: your self itself wants to die and turns away from life. No longer is it capable of that which it wants most: to create beyond itself. This it wants most of all, this is its entire fervor. But now it is too late for that, and so your self wants to go under, you despisers of the body. Your self wants to go under, and for this reason you became despisers of the body! For you no longer are capable of creating beyond yourselves. And that is why you are angry now at life and earth. There is an unknown envy in the looking askance of your contempt."

Quanxi: There's this reporter on the morning news who's my type... I'd even buy the magazines she was in, things like that. One day she was exposed for lying about her age... After that, it was like the floodgates opened. Exposes on her ex-boyfriends and bad behavior aired on TV one after another. She kept appearing on the morning news regardles.. But I stopped watching that program. It wasn't that the reporter had changed. It was my brain that changed. The secret to leading a happy life in this world is that ignorance is bliss.
"...but the great thing about this life of ours is that you can be someone different to everybody."

You daughter of Zalım you!
It is only man's egoism which wants to keep woman like some buried treasure. All endeavors to introduce permanence in love, the most changeable thing in this changeable human existence, have gone shipwreck in spite of religious ceremonies, vows, and legalities. Can you deny that our Christian world has given itself over to corruption?" "But—" "But you are about to say, the individual who rebels against the arrangements of society is ostracized, branded, stoned. So be it. I am willing to take the risk; my principles are very pagan. I will live my own life as it pleases me. I am willing to do without your hypocritical respect; I prefer to be happy. The inventors of the Christian marriage have done well, simultaneously to invent immortality. I, however, have no wish to live eternally. When with my last breath everything as far as Wanda von Dunajew is concerned comes to an end here below, what does it profit me whether my pure spirit joins the choirs of angels, or whether my dust goes into the formation of new beings? Shall I belong to one man whom I don't love, merely because I have once loved him? No, I do not renounce; I love everyone who pleases me, and give happiness to everyone who loves me. Is that ugly? No, it is more beautiful by far, than if cruelly I enjoy the tortures, which my beauty excites, and virtuously reject the poor fellow who is pining away for me. I am young, rich, and beautiful, and I live serenely for the sake of pleasure and enjoyment."
You will complete your mission in life when you figure out what your mission in life is. Your purpose is to discover your purpose. This is not a paradox. This is the way.
Compare yourself to your self yesterday
So, about that one sentence of advice: Don't feel behind. Two Roman historians recorded that when Julius Caesar was a young man he saw a statue of Alexander the Great in Spain and broke down in tears. "Alexander at my age had conquered so many nations, and I have all this time done nothing that is memorable," he supposedly said.

"You look at love, and especially woman," she began, "as something hostile, something against which you put up a defense, even if unsuccessfully. You feel that their power over you gives you a sensation of pleasurable torture, of pungent cruelty. This is a genuinely modern point of view." "You don't share it?" "I do not share it," she said quickly and decisively, shaking her head, so that her curls flew up like red flames. "The ideal which I strive to realize in my life is the serene sensuousness of the Greeks—pleasure without pain. I do not believe in the kind of love which is preached by Christianity, by the moderns, by the knights of the spirit. Yes, look at me, I am worse than a heretic, I am a pagan.
She had opened her eyes to see a gold, thin choker around her neck, the metal warming to her body temperature. “Just like your hair tie, when you feel that insecurity, touch this, remind yourself who claimed you, remind yourself of the last six years and how I never let you go once, and ask yourself if you ever think I’d let you go now. The world could tilt on its axis, flamma, and I’d still be the most certain thing in your life. You’re the oxygen that feeds my flames— without you, my existence is questionable.”
