Anlatamam... Yok aslında

My life is pretty much like this: I spent 11 months and 28 days of every year looking forward to the new John Grisham book and then 2-3 days devouring it. He is the master of the opening paragraph. Immediate hooks. Short sentences. You don't even notice his writing style after the first page or two but it's effortless to read. And there are many

This is a classic story that I believe everyone should read. Be careful that it is not a light hearted read though. This book is heavy if you consider yourself a progressive thinker. The ideas of society and government that are presented in this book are so painfully true that it's hard to believe that it wasn't written yesterday. You care for the

This book is very amazing and interesting for me. When I was reading it, Robinson Crusoe impressed me a lot. Everybody want to live alone in his life, but it isn't easy...example to it this man's lifestory. I thought nobody can live alone in an island, but Robinson could it. And I said to myself "Well done! Robinson Crusoe" :) I'm very thankful to Daniel Defoe, because he wrote this book for us :)

. . . Dystopia today corresponds to suppressed individuals and creativity, exterminated individual freedom. A dystopia - as we all know- describes humanity's longings & hopes against an unfeeling govermental mechanism; just as Father Grandet's selfish cruelty toward his wife, his daughter and their expectations. In this respect, Eugénie Grandet can be considered as a Dystopia even if it is not in this genre. Against this dystopian vision, Balzac puts the angelic figure of Eugénie — except that her sacrifice is made for love, not God (and an unworthy love, at that), while her “noble heart,” tender as it is, has been irrevocably tainted by her father’s example, “always to be subject to the calculations of human selfishness.” So where does that leave her — or us?

First of all, I have to say that this book imbue me with comprehensive ideas about technology, war, education, science-fiction, fake news, religion, stories and of course homo sapiens. Unlike other historians, Harari is the historian of the future. That is because, he does not fighting with some stories or claims which are belong to some groups, he crave to find truth or best way for the future of the globe. Furthermore, in the ancient times people could easily predict the near future, although they did not possessed cutting-edge technological devices. For instance, people who lived in X dynasty as a peasant, warrior or lower class member, could readily foresee plague, war or other incidents could harmed themselves fatally. However, in the technology era, next decade is unpredictable for people all over the world, even though they have up-to-date devices. Besides these brilliant concepts, Harari explains secularism which is my favorite chapter in the book. For example, secular people should not be afraid of learning new things which contradicts deep-rooted beliefs. This is the most necessary feature for both ordinary and influential people, if we want to convert the world into paradise. On the whole, throughout book, Harari strives to keep up with current affairs such as global warming, migration and so forth. He not only ask questions but also endeavour to find some answers. As a result, I, to some extent, support their valuable both questions and answers, and I suggest this book every people.

This is the first book I have ever read which is written by Bertrand Russell. Frequently, I have seen his name in various book, and I wanted to met him. Therefore I chose this book, because it is brief. And then when I had finished book, realized that it is magnificent choice. Firstly, I can easily say that Bertrand Russell is an outspoken. That is why, in the beginning of the book he mentioned his religious belief. After that, he talks about some sorts of difficulties which he was exposed in various field, such as education, because of their religious faith. Hence, he expresses three subjects which are misused by people, in particular by statesman, namely education, propaganda, and economy. He claims that every nation strive to imbue their students or citizens with their historical glories. In addition to a brief summary, I want to mention about one example which is given by author. When Einstein's theory appeared, it was accepted by scientists, without fighting. However, if his theory had occurred in the sphere of politics or religions, what would happened? To sum up, I strictly suggest that every people must read it.

Türkçe hâlini okumak isteyenler için: yadi.sk/i/GxVQPokE3S5kbm I have read third book of Adams 101 series, and I can say readily that Astronomy 101 is the best one. Author regularly classified nearly all matters which are related to cosmos. Before to start reading, she has tried to enlighten readers about some subjects, such as units of measurement. This is helpful attempt for readers, in particular who do not know much about astronomy. Furthermore, author has began with the Sun, and then has explained all inner and outer planets, in turn, at length. I have learned a lot of things about both the Sun and planet that is really fascinating. For example, even though the Sun looks like yellowish, it is indeed white. Moreover, besides planets which orbit our solar system, author has mentioned about comets, meteors, asteroids, stars, and so on. I have always been wondered how stars birth and death. Thanks to this book, I am a little bit satisfied. In addition to these basic and nearly simple subjects, big bang, dark matter, dark energy and black holes also were elucidated. However, you should not forget that it is a crash course, and this means is it contains a lot of title. That is why author describes all matters briefly.

Even though I am not sufficiently equipped with ample knowledge about Ottoman history, I want to introduce this book. That is because there are a lot of historical books about Ottoman Empire but most of them were not written objectively. As you know, a handful of historian endeavour to find out the truths, others try to dictate their one-sided ideas by means of history. In this book, there are nine well-prepared academic articles on the fundamental characteristics of the Ottoman Empire and its relations with Europe. Every articles nearly related to each others in terms of chronology. In particular first article begins to the rudiments of Ottoman Empire and its society. For instance, communications, popular meeting places and rituals. And then the book goes on with The Ottoman Ruler, Janissaries and the 'Ulema. Third article is about comments on sultanism which is really rough for people who are not history students. Moreover, İnalcık does not forget mention about changes in society, westernization and Atatürk's inkilâb. Withouth doubt, there are more than that, for example, The Turkish influence on the development of modern Europe. To sum up, if you read this book, you will exactly comprehend that without Ottoman history you would never understand Europe.

According to text, there is no good or bad memory, it is all about strategy. However, people usually find pretexts which fortify these types of ideas. For instance, before I read the book, I would always thought that I born with defective memory. And still a lot of people who are unaware of the fact that there is no innate tremendous memory,

The story is about the author, Ravi who meets a girl in an internet dating website and falls in love with her. That's it. The rest of the story goes very slow - paced. It's all about Kushi and Ravi. There's nothing else to lean on when those two characters get boring which (believe me) they did. The story would have been better if there were many events happening simultaneously or if the author didn't concentrate only about his love life. The author wasn't very descriptive; for example he stated that "the food was tasty". He never mentioned what food he was referring to. He could have substituted the word 'tasty' to some other more descriptive word; for example scrumptious. Or at least he could have mentioned what he was eating. And that particular phrase remained with me long enough for me to write it in this review. It was a long time ago since I read this book and I'm surprised that the first phrase that came to my mind was "the food was tasty".
