3/5 Stars (%54/100) We used this as our primary textbook in one of my master's classes. At first, I found it very very difficult to understand because you need to have a lot of background information about several things, especially feminist theory. However, as time passed, it became more manageable (I'm not saying I particularly enjoyed it but it was at least somewhat understandable). So, even though there are lots of nice essays, most of them are difficult to understand. Some have lots of unnecessary details and some are too short in my opinion. At the very least, I've learned a few things and I'll remember those only.

A lot of people, especially this one psychoanalyst guy they have here, keeps asking me if I'm going apply myself when I go back to school next September. It's such a stupid question, in my opinion. I mean how do you know what you're going to do till you do it? The answer is, you don't. I think I am, but how do I know? I swear it's a stupid question.

2/5 Stars (%44/100) It was okay in general but there were lots of unnecessary details in my opinion, especially Marianne Weber's loooongg descriptions of everything. Other than that, it was nice to learn more about Max Weber's visit to the US because it really affected his way of thinking. I was more or less familiar with Weber's ideas but the book provided me with more information about the visit (that's the purpose because Marianne Weber already published a book about Max's life). To sum up, it is a nice book to learn more details about the 1904 visit but I found most of the parts boring and irrelevant. I would not read it again

PS: This review is for Hortense Spillers' "Mama's Baby, Papa's Maybe: An American Grammar Book" only. I'll update it when I read the other articles. 2/5 Stars (%44/100) Hortense Spillers was and still is one of the most influential black writers, especially for women. As a black feminist, she worked hard to be the voice of black people, more specifically women. This was an interesting read for me. I found it informative but a bit longer than it needs to be. She talks about a lot of different ideas by giving tons of names and after a while, it gets a bit complicated and the message gets lost in my opinion. That's why this essay was "okay" for me. There is no denying Spillers' importance but I did not enjoy this as much as I thought I would.

2/5 Stars (%40/100) When I read this back in 2016, I was harsh and gave it 1 star only. I'm guessing I hated it because it was obligatory during my BA. Now I reread it for my MA class and I admit I was too strict. It is still not very good in my opinion mainly because it is boring but I can see Crevecoeur's point. I mean it's one of the earliest books about America. The use of such terms like "melting pot" was revolutionary at that time. It still doesn't change the fact that it is quite long and repetitive. If you are not really interested in American history or studying American history/literature, you should probably skip it.

The Chainsaw Man Church is completely extra in my opinion. I really like Asa Mitaka / Yoru and Famine. I feel like a lot's happening at the same time. I love the slow parts with Asa, they are very interesting and remind me of part 1. I also want to see more of Famine. I get the Church act and how they are trying to revoke a fear of Chainsaw Man worldwide to make him stronger as a devil once again by using people's fears, but it somehow feels too rushed and too chaotic. Part 1 was also chaotic at times and sometimes hard to understand like the Darkness Devil arc, but it would always come back to where it was intended to go and I was never lost. Part 2, especially with the prophecy and church arc, is making me feel lost and sometimes uninterested in the story overall a lot. I simply keep finding myself yearning for more panels with the characters I loved coming back and new characters I love. However, it's Fujimoto and I really want to trust him. I hope he somehow ties all this back together in a meaningful way. Btw, Chu Chu Lovely Muni Muni Mura Mura??? God, that was amazing! I can't wait to see that chapter animated! It is definitely written and drawn to be a storyboard for a film. It is such a cinematic chapter; the beginning, the chorus, the guys lining up, the hallway and fight scene... it's all made to be a film and not a manga. This is why I love Fujimoto, his panels are unlike regular mangas but they feel like I'm watching films. Truly unique. Also, RAWR. SHE IS BACK, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! SHE IS BACK!

Başkasının benimle ilgili görüşü benim kendimle ilgili görüşümü değiştirmez, değiştirmemeli. Someone else's opinion about me should not change my own opinion about myself, and it shouldn't.
“And here's my opinion for you. Women are the chief stumbling block in a man's career. It's hard to love a woman and do anything. There's only one way of having love conveniently without its being a hindrance—that's marriage.”

This was the my firt fantasy book and it's a good start. I didn't have much expectation but after finishing it literally changed my whole opinion. Summary of book: It's about the adventures of young huntress named Feyre starting from her home to the faerie realm of Prythian. Her main goal was to keep her family safe and together as she gave death bed promise to mother. Everything starts when she kills wolf in the forest and it drags her to magical land she knows about only from legends. She discovers that Tamlin her captor also aka High Fairy is not truly a beast, but one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled her world. But something was wrong with that magical lands, there was a curse which afterward she brokes it exchange her life.... I extremly keen on finishing all books of this serie
