Hülya Kaya’s timely research covers both theoretical and practical dimension of the EU-Turkey relations in post-2011 Arab Uprisings (or so called “Spring”) era consisting of mainly Turkish thesis from humanitarian and legal perspective (still missing the EU’s complete counter political and legal approach, and refugees’ own experiences). At this point, given 85 per cent of the world refugees live in developing countries, the EU’s deliberate strategy (externalization and outsourcing) creates further risks for not only the refugees and regional war-torn communities in the sort run, but also for Europe and the Union, itself, in the long run.

First of all, I'm the first person to read this book in this app and I'm really flattered about that. This book was mostly, but not totally a disaster for me. While I was at the library, I saw the title of the book and it appealed to me. But the more I read the more I noticed that something was missing in the book. I don't know why. Maybe it was because of my mood but I think that it is a very overrated book.
Expressions were nice and in some parts, as if I were a character in the book but still, I didn't enjoy it as much as I had expected. Especially with the end..
Connelly is a fantastic writer and this addition to his Bosch series is Bosch at his best! In The Crossing, we see Bosch in retirement dealing with time on his hands and missing the following of "his personal mission" of finding justice for the unjustly dead by following the clues that bring down their killers. It involves both Michael Haller and Harry Bosch working together to solve a murder.
Michael Haller's defense investigator, Cisco, is not working due to a serious car accident, where he was deliberately run off the road into on-coming traffic. This leaves Haller temporarily without an investigator.
Meanwhile, Harry Bosch has been forcibly retired from L.A. P. D. and is planning on catching up on some projects at home. Michael Haller approaches Harry Bosch to help him out as an investigator on his case, which he firmly believes his client is innocent of the charges against him. Harry said he will not cross over to the other side, no way, no how. Michael finally convinces Harry to help prove his client is innocent and to nail the real killer.
The novel is captivating as Bosch and Haller overcome many obstacles along through the course of Bosch investigating and Haller preparing the case for trial.
Bosch is relentless in his search for the real killer. One problem, his leads have a habit of dying. As Harry becomes convinced of the killers identity, he has to confront many personal issues brought on by his years on the police force.
"The Crossing" is a page turner. You'll find this book hard to put down. It's a real thriller! If you like courtroom dramas and thrilling detective stories, this book is for you. There's never a dull moment with “The Crossing".

Kitapta Enosis/ Eoka’dan bahsedilmiş, toplumların ve bu toplumlara ait bireylerin birbirleriyle ilişkileri aktarılmış ve Kıbrıs Barış Harekatı gibi bir uluslararası bir olay edebi bir bakış açısıyla incelenmiş.
Bir Uluslararası İlişkiler öğrencisinin kesinlikle okuması gereken bir kitap olduğunu düşünüyorum. Keşke ben de bölümdeyken okuma fırsatı bulabilseydim. Maalesef ben mezun olduktan sonra yayımlanmış .
Bunların yanında yazarın dili de çok akıcı ve dinlemesi de çok keyifliydi. Emeği geçen herkesin kalemine/ emeğine sağlık. Son dönemde yayımlanan en başarılı romanlardan biri…
15 yıl önce ilk kez okumuş, sonrasında bir şekilde kitabı kaybetmiş, hatta adını bile unutmuştum. Yıllardır kitabın adı aklıma gelmiyordu, fakat kitaptan aldığım keyfi ve Missing hastanesinin adını hiç unutmamıştım. Bunca yıl süresince ara ara aklıma gelip Missing hastanesi yazıp aratarak araştırmama rağmen kitabı bir türlü bulamamıştım. Birkaç hafta önce, hayatımda ilk defa rüyamda bir kitabın kapağını açıp okuduğumu gördüm: Gözyaşı Kapısı...Uyanır uyanmaz kitabı sipariş ettim. Yeniden okumam için gelen işaret, beni on küsür yıl sonra bu harika esere yeniden kavuşturdu, çok şükür..

It was good but not as good as the previous one in my opinion. It felt rushed and I felt like something was missing (that "oomph" in the previous volume). In this book, we learn more about Gabimaru's past and Iwagakure in general. That was very interesting and the new characters also look appealing. However, as I said the whole volume felt too rushed. I understand we are getting close to the end but the series did not have this problem before. I also hate pretty much 90% of the new characters (not because of how they are written but because they are evil, especially that Shugen guy). We'll see what happens next.

Zaman Savaşı'nın hiç yaşanmadığı ve Dalek'lerin, Doctor'dan yardım isteyecek kadar korktukları, evrenin başlangıcından gelen ve acı konseptinin bedenleşmiş hali olan düşmanları ile yüzleştikleri harika bir çizgi romandı Defender of the Daleks.
Geçtiğimiz yıllarda, kitaplar, çizgi romanlar, sesli hikayeler hatta tişört üstüne basılan yazılar üstünden ilerleyen bir hikaye olan Time Lord Victorious, uzun zamandır okumak/dinlemek/izlemek istediğim bir seriydi ancak tüm bunları takip edebilmek zaman isteyeceği için bir türlü başlayamamıştım. Sonunda başladım ve şu an için ilginç bir başlangıç yaptık ancak daha tam olarak genel Time Lord Victorious teması ve olaylarının temellerini atıyor olduğumuz için ne bekleyeceğimi bile bilmiyorum. Heyecanla seriye devam edeceğim umarım.
