“I don’t have a family… I don’t have a family like yours. Actually, I don’t know what a family is or how it is supposed to be. When I meet your family, the feelings that I will have scare me. What if a family is a really wonderful thing… Then I will see how great my loss is. I have managed to stand on my own without realizing the value of a family until this age. What if a family is an invaluable entity… I will stumble and fall if you don’t hold my hand and help me up.” Pınar pulled her hands away from her legs and grabbed Blue’s hand tightly, continuing to speak. “In the dorm rooms where I stayed, it said ‘Family is everything’ on the bathroom doors. What was everything? What could fit into it? Was family both pain and happiness? Was it both sadness and joy? What was everything that family was supposed to be? These questions gnawed at my brain for years. Just when I think I have found all the answers… the questions suddenly change. I have grown tired of this vicious cycle of searching for answers to these questions. I gave up a long time ago.”

The circle of life....
Love is a holy mystery and ought to be hidden from all other eyes, whatever happens. That makes it holier and better. They respect one another more, and much is built on respect. And if once there has been love, if they have been married for love, why should love pass away? Surely one can keep it! It is rare that one cannot keep it. And if the

In our memories, the source of the argument fades faster than the argument. In other words, your brain quickly forgets where the information came from (e.g., from the Department of Propaganda). Meanwhile, the message itself (i.e., war is necessary and noble) fades only slowly or even endures. Therefore, any knowledge that stems from an untrustworthy source gains credibility over time. The discrediting force melts away faster than the message does.
Fakat çaresizliği yüceltmek, hazzı küçümsemektir; şiddeti kabullenmek, diğer her şey üzerindeki kontrolü kaybetmek demektir.

Mater Matuta is a cover name for the dawn goddess Aurora. Her festival Matralia was close to the summer solstice. This is how Plutarch in Life of Camillus describes her ritual: "Women led a female servant to the sanctuary and beat her with rods, thereupon they drove her away and take into their arms their sisters' children." This puzzling activity become intelligible with reference to the mythology of the Vedic dawn-goddess Ushas, where the young sun god is nurtured by his maternal aunt and where the tarrying dawn is violently chased from the morning scene. Camillus, who dedicated the temple of Mater Matuta at Rome, figures in Plutarch and Livy as the great Roman military leader of about 400 BCE. Many of his victories were won by sudden onslaughts and sallies at daybreak, something not repeated of other Roman generals, which makes him suspect as the transposed epic replica of sun-god himself. That Camillus was indeed a "solar" warrior is visible from the other details of his carrier, such as the triple accusation brought against him, the most serious of which was a sacrilegiously excessive triumphal procession more fit for a sun chariot.
Flow is being completely involved in an activity for its own sake. The ego falls away. Time flies. Every action, movement, and thought follows inevitably from the previous one, like playing jazz.
Trina could tell who understood the danger they were in based on the soft gasps and muttered prayers mixed with curses. Only Gunnar seemed unaware that they were seconds away from being blown to hell. The bridge door opened and Zuri, the newest recruit, stepped in. Trina waved a hand to silence the woman, but she need not have. Zuri took one look at the growing torpedo in front of the Psychopomp and backpedaled until her shoulders hit the door again. She didn’t say a word. Her eyes were very wide and white against her dark skin. She knew what it was. There was a story there that Trina would have to ask about if they survived this
When a woman gets out of a bad marriage, what does she get? Applause! Cheers, flowers, congratulations. Everyone is so proud of her for taking charge of her life and getting away from that awful beast. Friends throw parties, support groups gush all over her, self-esteem oozes from her pores. But what happens when a man decides to leave his wife? Just the opposite! Everyone rushes to the wife’s side. Overnight, a nice guy becomes a creep, a cheat, a crook. Judges punish you, friends desert you, the world condemns you. It doesn’t matter if your wife was the world’s worst woman – unbearable and loathsome. It simply doesn’t matter. It’s like this: When a woman wants out, she’s good; when a man wants out, he’s bad.
Frank was further disarmed by a factor he alluded to only much later. Throughout their marriage, Ayn had been the center of his life and his motive force and his purpose; his life belonged to her. He had few skills, no trade, no profession, no money of his own. Twelve years later, after a violent quarrel with Ayn, Frank angrily stamped out of the living room. I followed him to the bedroom and found him sitting quietly, a look of uncontested anguish on the still- beautiful planes of his face. As I tried to comfort him, he grasped my arm so tightly that I winced. “I want to leave her,” he said, his voice a hiss of rage and despair. “I want to leave her!” His hand fell from my arm, and I could barely hear his words as his voice dropped and he turned his face away to look into a void. “But where would I go? ... What would I do?...”
