If reality were a painting, and I were the painter,
If reality were a painting, and I were the painter, I would paint with all the colors, I would paint all the dreams, I would paint from east to west, every corner and border. I would paint a world where peace and harmony reign. I would draw how many schools teach children with pencils, Everyone would learn and work, no more
The Road Not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.

One of the minor characters—a woman striker in the valley—had a particular personal meaning to Ayn: the woman Ayn called “‘the fishwife,” because her work was to provide the fish for the grocery market. As Dagny and Galt drive through the valley, Dagny was to see “a young woman... stretched on the sun-flooded planks, watching a battery of fishing rods. She glanced up at the sound of the car, then leaped to her feet in a single swift movement, a shade too swift, and ran to the road. She wore slacks, rolled above the knees of her bare legs, she had dark, disheveled hair and large eyes... Dagny... saw the glance with which the young woman stood looking after Galt... hopeless- ness, serenely accepted, was part of the worship in that glance.” Galt said, “She’s a writer. The kind of writer who wouldn’t be published outside. She believes that when one deals with words, one deals with the mind.” The fishwife is Ayn’s Hitchcock-like appearance in Atlas Shrugged.

ANALYSIS OF THE GARDEN PARTY
The Garden Party is a short imaginary story by the author Katherine Mansfield, published in 1922. Katherine Mansfield is a very well known modernist writer. Rather than focusing on the plot, this novel emphasises the attitudes, feelings and relationships of individuals, and the author paints a picture of the protagonist's inner world as she

To Myself, Ten Years Ago : “You won’t believe what I see from this vantage point, the years stretching out before you like a long and winding road. I don’t want to scare you, but there is a forest just up ahead. One so dense and dark, the sunlight won’t reach you for awhile. You will wander lost, in this long, perilous night, not knowing if it will ever come to an end. But believe me, the light will find you again, and when it does, you will no longer be afraid of the dark. Stop to catch your breath. Soon, a jagged mountain will rise before you, so steep it will make you want to turn back around. Don’t despair; the first foothold is always the most difficult and every inch you claim of that cold, hard precipice will make you stronger. Before you know it, the ground will level out beneath you, and you will look back to see you had conquered what you once thought impossible. See that turn just up ahead? That’s the place where love will meet you, with arms so warm it will melt away the winter in an instant. And then, it will be summer for a very long time.”

On May 7, 2016—a little under a century and a half after Mary Ward went for a drive one fateful summer’s morning—a man named Joshua Brown was driving down a road near Williston, Florida, in his Tesla Model S, which was in autopilot mode. A later investigation showed that in the 37 minutes of his journey, he had his hands on the wheel for just 25 seconds; he was relying on the car’s software to control the vehicle for the rest of the time. When a truck pulled out into the road, neither Brown nor the software spotted it, and the car crashed into the truck. Joshua Brown became the first person in the history of the world to die in a self-driving car accident.
