Sadeq Hedayat is one of my favorite author in the literary world. The Blind Owl that introduced me to Sadeq Hedayat many years ago and it has entered my list of the best. Hedayat's masterpiece The Blind Owl attracted me with the very first lines, and caused me to experience a kind of hysteria with the last page of the book.

Undoubtedly Stefan Zweig is one of the writers who reflects human emotions and handles them deeply. I can say that after reading Metamorphosis (I mentioned it to everyone and made a review of ), I couldn’t escape from its influence, and cannot still. It mentioned the value of human beings. It emphasized Gregor himself. Franz
Tiktok'ta gördüğüm bir edit ve sonrasındaki duygu durumum yüzünden indirdim bu kitabı. Ardından da aradan biraz zaman geçti ve bir anda okumaya başladım. İlk etapta ne okuduğumu anlayamadım çünkü ilk partında kitabın tek sayfalık bölümler vardı. Ne okuduğumu asla anlayamadım o yüzden. Karakter kim, ne yaşadı? Bir balonun içinde körlemeye ilerledim o yüzden. Anlamadığım için de okumam da hayli yavaş oldu.
İkinci kısmına geçtiğimde karakteri, olay örgüsünü ve kitabı az çok anladım. Ama bu kez de karakterle bir bağ kuramadım. Seçimleri yüzünden empati yapmak bir tarafa okurken sinirlendim çokça karaktere.
Son kısma geldiğimde aktı kitap ancak ben çoktan kurguda kopmuştum. Kötü diyemem ama benim için vaov diyebileceğim, kalbimi kıran bir kurgu da olmadı. Daha duygusal, beni gözyaşlarına boğan bir kurguydu beklediğim ancak pek tatmin olamadım.
Ortalama bir puan, ortalama bir kurgu diyeceğim. Son kısmı 1 saat gibi bir sürede okuduğum ve yazarın kendi hikayesini yazdığını düşünerek onu da.
Charlie'nin hayatı ne oldu? Riley ile ne oldu? Tam olarak bunların cevabını alsam daha da iyi olurdu aslında ama belki devamı vardı diyorum kitabın.

DNF at %30 (around 80 pages).
If I had only one word to describe the book, it would be disappointing. I heard nothing but good comments about the book and the short synopsis was also interesting but it just does not work. I really tried my best but I cannot read even one more page. I've read quite a bit but nothing really happened yet. All I've read so far is the long description of statues, fish, birds, rooms, and so forth. There is also plenty of numbers like one hundred sixteenth room, seventy-eighth month in the thirty-second year, etc. This becomes complicated because the book is split into many smaller chapters given to us as diary entries. The only I've learned (before I dnfd it, so around page 80) is that the labyrinth causes memory loss. I know my mind is pretty busy lately so it is hard for me to focus but jesus christ this is boring. I don't know about you but I'm not gonna spend almost 200 pages just to learn 2 or 3 more pieces of information. There is a simple premise which is good enough but the execution is horrible is all I can say. Try it but I have to say I will never come back to this book and possibly the writer because I really wanted to read Jonathan Strange.

It speaks of Santiago setting out to find what he desires in life. You will adore this character, and it will make you read the book with even more enthusiasm.
Despite being a novel, it gives the impression of a captivating fairy tale and story. It is also structured in the form of advice, as the two characters frequently give each other advice, and I can say that the number of these pieces of advice is a bit abundant. These advices are generally related to finding what one wants in life.
It unquestionably ranks among the top 5 books that must be read.

Puan vermedi
It’s hard to say that the book was covered all the necessary things about childhood trauma. It contains just bunches of small and unconnected pieces of information about the trauma situation that has been going through the entire life span. I mean, there are not enough (almost nothing covered ) information about methodology of the overcoming steps from childhood trauma. It is better to watch just youtube video which is uploaded by the author.
Oh, here we go again. Another book by Fredrik Backman. I just can’t find the right words to explain how this author makes me feel. He makes me feel frightened, peaceful and sad at the same time. Dick places his absurdist situations, bleak scenarios, and quirky characters within an almost pastoral post-apocalyptic san francisco-bay area. the setting is primarily a small town in marin, with everyday people slowly trying to rebuild themselves and their world. the writing is typically loose and off-kilter. results are sublime. and very strange, per usual. two oddly endearing yet threatening characters stood out for me amongst the compellingly diverse cast: Hoppy Harrington - cringing, deluded, armless & legless, gifted with increasingly terrifying powers and a very specific plan to take over the world; his nemesis Bill - whiny, yearning, able to speak to the dead, an unborn twin to a self-absorbed 7-year old girl, longing for a release into the larger world. watching these two face off against each other was worth the price of admission - their escalating conflicts are wonderfully amusing and often genuinely thrilling. and yet they are but two pieces in an intriguingly mystifying and often ironic larger puzzle. This is a book of many minor, human notes; mournful and hopeful in equal measures. a true pleasure to read.

A poem about legacies and death
In the poem, the statue of Ozymandias, the king of kings, lies decaying in a distant desert. Only the pedestal, two upright legs and a face, remains of his statue; the rest is shattered and buried under lone and level sands. Netiher his mighty power as a king nor his statue, his legacy, could withstand the passage of merciless time.
This poem reminds me of the 76-77th stanzas of Hávámál, a collection of Old Norse poems about philosophy of life. However, these stanzas and Ozymandias are more like two sides of the same coin, they complete each other. They both give the message of "memento mori" (remember you are a mortal), and speak about leaving a legacy. Ozymandias does this by the statue of Ozymandias, the king of kings while 76-77th stanzas of Hávámál give this message through the experiences of common man; however, this time the speaker is Odin - the king of gods.
The message, along with memento mori, is that immortality is only achieved through a legacy: through the tales of the one who lived and died; through the reputation they leave behind. Man is the legacy he leaves behind. Nothing more, nothing less.
Although Hávámál presents legacies as more heroic, personally, I always thought about legacies similar to that of Ozymandias. Even the legacy, the statue, of King Ozymandias lies broken into pieces in a distant desert; forgotten and covered with sand. No matter how mighty and powerful you are, no matter what your title is, no matter how powerful your legacy is, time and death will erase everything.
In the end, good or bad, nothing matters. Everything is doomed to be swallowed by the sands of time.
